The time has come where we here at A Cup A Bruin can finally announce to you that opening day for your Boston Bruins is January 19 against the New York Rangers. The information just leaked from Boston’s reporter Fluto Shinzawa (@GlobeFluto). While the time is not yet determined, we can all make the assumption that it will be a 7pm start, as the majority of Bruins games are.
In the event that the Boston Celtics do not play until January 24, there is a possibility that the Bruins could be playing a few games at home in the four-day span. In the original schedule posted by the National Hockey League the Bruins were supposed to be playing against the Toronto Maple Leafs on the 21st, a likely possibility.
Regardless Bruins fans, we officially have a season opener and the countdown is in a matter of days. While we can all say we have waited long enough for this day to come, it doesn’t erase the excitement to see the men in black and gold take the ice once again.
